Patricia McMullen is the current conductor of the Amherst Town Band.  After playing French horn in the band for seven years, she took over the baton in 2002 from the retiring director, Jean Butler.

Pat is an active music educator in New Hampshire and has been a music educator in both choral and instrumental programs at all levels since 1975. She is originally from Indiana, where she did her undergraduate work at Indiana Central University and graduate work at Butler University. Majoring in Music Education, her major instrument was French horn with a minor in piano and voice.

New Hampshire has been Pat's home since 1988 and she currently resides in Nashua, with her husband Joe, who is a member of the band.

She is  the Choral Director at Souhegan High School in Amherst, NH. Her groups regularly perform in school concerts, community events, the New York City Performance competitions and Walt Disney World.

In addition to working at Souhegan and conducting the Amherst Town Band, she is also the Immediate Past President of the New Hampshire Music Educators Association, an Executive Board Member for the NH Chapter of ACDA, and a past member of the Manchester Choral Society.

As conductor of the Amherst Town Band, she hopes to encourage all ages to share their passion for making music. Music is a life-long skill that gives pleasure to all who make it and listen to it.
